ABOUT US

Our safe and welcoming therapy space gives children the freedom to heal, grow, and thrive at their own pace.

OUR STORY

At Bright Seeds Play Therapy, we believe that every child holds the potential to grow into something strong, resilient, and beautiful — just like a seed given the right care.

Our practice was created with one clear mission: to provide a safe and nurturing space where children of all ages can explore their feelings, build coping skills, and discover their inner strengths through the natural language of play.

Guided by a qualified and compassionate play therapist, we use play as a powerful tool for healing. Carefully selected toys invite your child to take the lead, offering opportunities to explore, express themselves, and build resilience in a space where they feel truly seen and heard. We also engage children and caregivers in evidence-based approaches that strengthen emotional well-being, build resilience, and offer the potential for healing and growth both inside and outside the therapy room.

The story of Bright Seeds began with a simple vision:

To help children and families flourish. By working in partnership with parents, schools, and communities, we create a circle of support that extends beyond the therapy space, nurturing not just the child, but the relationships and environments that matter most to them.

Every toy, game, and creative activity in our therapy space is chosen with purpose, because we know that even the smallest moments of play can plant the seeds for lasting change.

Whether your child is experiencing anxiety, struggling with low self-esteem, facing the challenges of ADHD or autism, working through grief or trauma, navigating big life transitions such as divorce or starting a new school, or simply needing a safe place to grow, we are here to walk alongside your family with warmth, care, and expertise.

At Bright Seeds Play Therapy, we believe in the power of possibility — because when a seed is nurtured, it has everything it needs to bloom.

Meet Stacey

Stacey is the heart behind Bright Seeds Play Therapy. She is a qualified and registered Play Therapist with a passion for supporting children and families to grow, heal, and thrive.

Stacey commenced her career working alongside mental health practitioners in Child and Youth Mental Health Services, where she developed a strong foundation in supporting young people through complex challenges.

Her practice is informed by the principles of attachment theory, the significance of the parent–child relationship, and the insights of interpersonal neurobiology, particularly how these shape emotional regulation and safety. She recognises the unique strengths that every family system holds and strives to approach her work with genuine acceptance, authenticity, and transparency, especially when supporting families through some of their most difficult times.

As a mum to two boys, Stacey understands firsthand the joys and challenges that families face. This lived experience, combined with her professional expertise, allows her to bring empathy, relatability, and a deep sense of respect to every child and parent she works with.

Qualifications:

Stacey’s qualifications include an Advanced Certificate in Play Therapy and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), alongside Associate Registration with the Play Therapy Practitioners Association (PTPA). Stacey is also continuing her professional journey by studying a Master of Clinical Psychology, further deepening her expertise in child and family mental health.

Stacey’s Approach

At the core of Stacey’s approach is the belief that play is children’s natural language. She acknowledges that supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and mental health is an ongoing process, one that can be deeply nurtured through the guidance of a trained play therapist.

She is passionate about walking alongside children on their journey, helping them to grow into well-adjusted, healthier, and happier people. Research consistently shows that early intervention makes a profound difference, laying the foundation for positive development and improved long-term outcomes.

With warmth and compassion, Stacey creates a safe space where children feel truly seen, heard, and supported, while partnering with families to ensure progress and healing extend well beyond the therapy room.
